Pics, clips and looking back on May!

Well it’s the end of another month and since it’s the 31st of May and the MTV Movie awards are tonight (yipee!!), I thought I’d take a look back at the last month and throw in some clips and pics too.
Hmmm! where to start… Well we finally get a look at the wolf pack…well worth waiting for and daily gossip and pics poured out of Vancouver, Canada by the ton as fans and paparazzi tried to get that perfect shot and evidence of an exclusive. Lainey Gossip kept us all informed on that score.
Then there was Taylor’s exercise regime which would make any man cry, he worked so hard and still continues to do so.
Then two wolf pack members started to capture the imagination of the public. Photos of them started to turn up everywhere. Chaske Spencer and Alex Meraz turned out to be very interesting actors and very talented in their own right.
Then the Volturi arrived and everyone wanted to know all about them too. Michael Sheen who at first was sporting a beard, turned up on set clean shaven and ready for action. Beautiful 15 year old Dakota Fanning also arrived and began shooting her parts. The rest of the Volturi arrived and were photograped all around Vancouver. 
Then all too soon they departed and Kristen and Taylor had to get back to Jacob and Bella to shoot the cliff scenes and the motor bike scenes (not in that order of coarse!) and the meadow scene with Laurent. Entertainment Tonight got to visit the set and an exclusive was born, with interviews with Robert, Taylor and Kristen and just a teenie weenie peek at the scene where Bella goes to Jacob’s house with the bikes. New moon posters started to turn up everywhere and finally the official one from Summit. I didn’t like it at first but then I realised there was a story in the poster if you really looked. I like it now!
The party scene was of coarse filmed at the beginning and the Cullen family soon went their different ways, busy doing other projects. We found out how nice and how musically talented they all were. We got to see Jackson’s 100 monkeys band and found out how funny Edi Gathegi and Michael Welch is. How Peter Facinelli took time out to hug a fan in the freezing cold because she had been waiting all day to see them. How kind and generous to his fellow cast mates Kelan Lutz is and how fantastic Ashley Greene looks in a red dress.
Then of coarse there was the Italian scenes in beautiful Montepulciano, Italy. And the endless pics of Robert and Kristen.
Rob auctioned his kisses for charity and was linked to beautiful women. Then there was the famous scene at the clock tower. We saw the shirtless Rob and the exhaused Kristen (from running through the fountain and over to stop Edward again and again) shoot the final scenes. Kristen, Ashley and Dakota made friends and ate together. They took group pictures with their cameras and said their farewells to beautiful Italy. I have links to footage at the end to fill in the gaps for you.
In the mean time Taylor was back home in LA still working out daily and catching up with his friends amid rumours that he and Selena had split up. (Were they dating?????) I thought they were just friends and saw no evidence to the contrary. I did read somewhere that it was speculated that Taylor was advised to - not date because it would hurt his career. Below is the way they/are/ were!!!!.
They looked so happy. Taylor had intense scenes with Kristen and needed a break and Selena was just what the doctor ordered by way of fun. Always with her, he looked relaxed and happy. People tried to make something of it and if there really was something bloomin’ between them, it seems to be halted now. But then we don’t know what was said between them and I’m not going to speculate. Leave them be I say.
And so the trio came back from Italy just in time for the MTV Movie awards. Twilight has had seven nominations with Slumdog Millionaire coming up a close second. I hope you all voted for Kristen, Robert, Taylor and the Movie where ever you could. Of coarse you did!!!!. There are no fans in the world as loyal as the Twilight fans. And of coarse you saw the 15 second clip of the movie and we’ll all have the longer clip shown on MTV tonight at the awards tomorrow for you.

I heard this song and thought I’d share it with you.
It’s written by the parents of the girl singing it, Celica Westbrook and is vying for a place on the New Moon soundtrack. Of all the singers and song writers out there doing the same thing, this one at least is the most apt lyrically. See what you think and let me know.
And this is just some icons for Team Edward / Team Jacob.
Here’s the run up to that letter.
Letters in the trash!
Bella woke in the middle of the night, her face wet with tears. The usual!
She had cried out, loud enough for her father Chief Swan to hear, but he did not come in to her room. He knew she would cry herself back to sleep. A common occurrence…the usual!
She was so fragile and yet there was nothing he could do to help…fragile and stubborn! She would not ask for help. She would suffer in silence, dragging herself through every day, alone in her heartache.
Kids break up all the time but Bella took things to heart like no other. She believed in people totally and got hurt by them completely.
And all because of that wretched Cullen boy !
He just left her there, alone in the forest , after he broke up with her. Wandering around in the rain and the dark, for the wolves to get her. Little did Chief Swan know that it was a wolf that found her. When the wolf shape shifted back to human form it was Sam Uley.
Bella did not like Sam for reasons that would later be proved unfounded. “Have you been hurt”, he said. How odd that he should put it like that. Bella didn’t know about Sam, not yet. His wolf sense told him she was not hurt, not physically anyway. He recognised it though, had seen it before, that look in her eyes.
But he said nothing! Wolves don’t interfere. Not their way. They just protect, they don’t tell people how to live. But he would take her back to her frantic father. She would be safe then , …from them!
It had been some weeks later when Charlie had found the letter in the trash. The letter could give him insight into his daughters misery, the misery she never talked about. But he didn’t get past the first two words.
He tore it to shreds and shoved the fist full of paper firmly back into the trash can and slammed the lid back on. That Cullen boy had a lot to answer for, if he ever saw him again…
Dear Edward,
It’s ok!, I know it’s over. I know you don’t want me anymore, that you don’t love me, I get it!
It’s just like, there are so many things I wanted to say, that I didn’t get a chance to say. I wanted to say thank you, for coming into my life, for sharing your family with me. (I felt like they were my family too). For showing me what life could be, I’ll always have that. I will treasure those memories forever, not your forever , just my ordinary human one. I’m trying like really hard to keep my promise. It’s just not the same without you here. It will never be the same, not the rain, not the forest, not anything. I hope you find someone who makes you happy, your own kind of coarse! not like, some stupid clumsy human. You won’t have to carry her anywhere, or pick her up when she falls or wait for her cos she’s too slow. Maybe I’ll get an invite to the wedding ha ha !
I guess not. I’ll never see you again will I. Tell Alice I miss her every day.

Before she’d even finished the letter Bella knew she had nowhere to send it. The tears came again. What was the point of anything, now that he was gone. No point, no point at all. She crawled into bed and pulled the covers over her.
The torn pieces of Bella’s letter made their way to the garbage truck, to be joined by other garbage and other garbage trucks, that finally made their way to the dump. There, the pieces of paper lay beside an empty soup can, a juice carton and some stale bread. A seagull stabbed at the bread and took to the air, followed by more seagulls.
Where the stale bread had been, lay another letter, also in pieces. These were older and stained and the ink had begun to bleed out and distort the rough handwriting. But the words “Dear Bella” could be seen clearly and on another piece “love Jacob”.

I know I get some crazy ideas! lol - but I think about stuff a lot. Like how did the mail get delivered to the Cullens?. Did they have a mail box. what if the mailman saw Emmett hold the truck up with one hand, or Edward running up a tree with a hundred and twenty pound date on his back?

Wow!!! It’s really starting to heat up in Italy.
Even Edward Cullen has taken his shirt off… lol!.
I’m speaking of coarse of the piazza scene where frantic Bella runs across the square, through the fountain, getting soaked in the process, drags herself out and just in time makes it to Edward, who at this stage has appeared at the clock tower, moves up to the mouth of the alley, takes his shirt off and is about to take that fateful step into the sunlight, revealing what he is and exposing the Volturi. But Bella hits the marble wall that is Edward just in time, screaming and trying to push him back into the shadows…good luck with that !. When it finally dawns on him that Bella is not a figment of his imagination, he immediately goes into protect mode.

Ok, so that really was interesting and something to look forward to. I’ve been hearing about so many changes to the book that I was getting worried. But none of it was substantiated so I have no idea if it was true or not. It’s all just gossip and I hate that. But please, please don’t change any more of the book Chris Weitz!!!!
I understand that things have to be visually appealing and text rather than dialogue doesn’t transfer to screen but don’t lose focus ok…please! 
We are not all celebrity obsessed tweenies, teenagers and hockey Moms. Some of us are intelligent people who read books and who…despite the criticism levelled at us by people like Steven King’s vicious followers (I am neither fat, blond, nor ugly!) happen to love Twilight/New Moon/Eclipse and Breaking Dawn because it’s intelligently written and it’s naivety exists only because it’s experienced from the point of view of teenagers.
I agree that Steven King has written some cool books and the writers and actors he mentions are indeed note worthy and will be remembered down through the ages and he’s sold more books and he’s made more money than Stephenie Meyer…
but…
he is still missing the point, as are all the detractors who insult the writer, the readers and the fans.
The point is simply this…
The readers loved the books and the movie. They don’t have a reason, they just do. Didn’t you ever just love something for no reason at all. Does it have to be a literary work of art? Who’s to say it’s not. Does it have to have A-list stars? Does it have to be considered intelligent by the literary greats to be worthy of our respect?
I liked the “Dark Tower” series…why?…dunno, just do! Is there something wrong with me?
It is not about how much money you make, how many you sold or what actors you get to star in the movies.
Steven King obviously didn’t like Twilight. It’s OK, so read something you do like, or better still write something you do like. He also obviously processes thoughts and story plots differently to Stephenie Meyer and his endings are like heaven and hell apart from Stephenie’s endings. But that’s also OK!. “Vive la difference”. Same is boring…different is cool!
I am reminded of something I wrote in one of my stories a while back…Oh! didn’t I mention that…I also like to write. If Steven king was given one of my chapters, he’d probably use it to line his bird cage…assuming he had a bird. Can’t actually say I’d be really upset. Every body’s different!.
It was just a saying I liked, something I once wanted to put on a t-shirt instead of paying 40 big ones for someone else’s logo…(don’t get me started on that!)
“I’m grey but I matter” it’s a play on invisible intelligence. About judging and so on!
So tonight, for all you grey people for whom the shiny beloved ones deem insignificant…I say
“you may be grey but you do matter!”

Today’s discussion is entitled Echo!
Echo!
It’s amazing how a sudden event can change your life forever!
Everything that happened before that day, normally mundane…ordinary…forgettable… now seen in a different light become treasured memories. Because you can’t go back. And the senses that go with these memories…taste, smell, touch, sight and so on become all the more acute for their absence.
For Isabella Mare Swan, the opposite happened. Everything that happened before that day stayed ordinary, mundane and completely forgettable. Her life before had detached from her and drifted away like a log moving down river.
It was like being in a waiting room. She didn’t want to be there, but she had to be there, so she existed without being fully conscious of her existence. And what was “that day”?
The day she met Edward Cullen!
It was like her whole existence up to that point had been like an echo bouncing off a canyon wall. Not you anymore but what was once you.
He was the most beautful thing she had ever seen!. Like an angel whose purity shone through his pale skin, she could imagine people weeping just looking at his face. Perfect except for the fact that his dark eyes now regarded her with…what?…contempt?…hatred?. No! Something more immediate, like fury perhaps or hunger.
Yes! that seemed to fit. His eyes that she at first thought were deep dark pools, she now saw were a solid wall of onyx. They bored into her demanding to be satisfied. His face looked frozen and yet contorted into a grimace as he clamped his hand over his mouth trying to keep something in…or maybe something out!
Bella had leaned down then and sniffed her shoulder, nothing unusual, Just the faint scent of laundry detergent. Then she tried her hair. It smelled of shampoo. She pulled her hair down over her face and tried to block him out. It was unsettling sitting there in Biology having him so close and looking like he could eat you.
The bell suddenly rang and he was gone!
When he finally reappeared days later, he couldn’t have been more different. He was polite, he even smiled and his eyes…were not dark at all but a warm golden brown, though lighter than normal.
He could have been any normal student sitting there smiling and chatting. Could have been if it weren’t for the fact that he was a vampire.
And so it began…a love story!.
It would survive an unrelenting assault from the vampire tracker James, whose bite left Bella nearly dead.
But it would not survive an accident at her birthday party at Edward’s house. Anguished at the constant threat of danger Bella was under, Edward left her.
Alone, heartbroken and utterly miserable, the echoes of her former dull life before Edward, pinged back to her in mockery.
They would eventually get passed this but it would leave a scar in her human heart…for a while anyway.
A kind of reminder, that there is comfort in familiar things. Dull and mundane things!
She will become a vampire and the former life as a human will fade over the decades to shadows in the back of her mind. They will be remembered but with less and less importance, like a shout in a canyon…
like an echo!

Another what if…

I have no gossip today…nada…zip…not interested! Don’t care whose sleeping with whom…who fainted at the sight of Robert Pattinson,(only that they don’t have concussion and that maybe someone kept them awake…just in case!) or who said what, when, where or why…or, for that matter, what door someone decides to leave by…which is obviously supposed to infer guilt or innocence. I just don’t care! I’m only interested in facts and why the stupid days can’t go by faster. If they can make it rain, why can’t they make it November lol!!.
So I’m sitting in my garden, enjoying the sunshine and listening to the sound of the water. I’ve just pulled my kittens down from the palm trees for the hundredth time today and even fished one out of the pond. The air is warm and kinda dreamy and my mind is wandering. It’s not long before the threads of the Twilight Saga twist and turn in my head. Scenarios, plot lines, avenues pursued and so on, roll out in front of my minds eye. I know the story so well. Then a new scenario came to me…another what if.
What if Jacob hadn’t imprinted on Renesmee? What if he’d imprinted on Bella?
Bella goes to see Jacob with the bikes. He’s over the moon she came. The bike rebuild gives Bella a reason to leave the house. Going to see Jacob at every opportunity cements their unusually close friendship and gives Bella a sense of purpose. Then he turns into a werewolf and has to stay away from Bella for her own safety.
He is forbidden to tell her about his secret, but when he climbs in her window in human form so that the wolf pack can’t hear his thoughts, he gives her the tools to figure it out for herself. He reminds her of the story he told her about the Quileute legends and of why they exist. Jacob makes Bella promise to let him know when she’s figured it out and if she still wants to be friends with him. Bella is exhausted and doesn’t put it all together until Jacob’s gone.
When she meets him at La Push beach at dawn and he wrongly thinks she horrified at what he’s become, he gets angry and shouts at her. He calls her a hypocrite for not being afraid of vampires, some of whom kill people and then finding fault with him. “It’s not what you are stupid, it’s what you do!” she tells him. “What’s that supposed to mean?” he roars, furious now. His whole body shaking, he feels betrayed and rejected yet again by Bella.
But what if …at that moment, something else happened. He’s angry, his body is quivering and shaking, seconds from bursting into a werewolf and then he looks at her, looks into her warm, brown, trusting eyes. He sees the defiance but something else, a flicker of fear. Did she think he would hurt her. How could she think that?. Suddenly he is not angry any more.
Jacob is washed of his anger by another emotion…love! Yes! Jacob loves Bella but this is different…stronger…profound! Like some unseen part of Bella is reaching out to his mind, his heart, his soul, drawing him to her. His love for her is different now, not selfish but protective, unconditional, absolute.
What do we do now?. What will Edward do?, what will Bella do?.
It’s difficult to say how this would play out for many reasons. One - Imprinting according to the books usually happens between two unsuspecting parties. That is to say Sam imprinted on Emily, an idea inconceivable to him before, because he was so in love with Leah. Two - No one seems to imprint on someone they already love. Three - this would be unbearable for Edward who hasn’t learned the Wuthering Heights secret yet, (i.e - to love the thing she loves).
Edward would probably lose his temper and in a fit of jealousy kill Jacob thus losing Bella forever, or leave if she was happy again losing Bella forever. Or maybe Bella will reject Jacob - how would that work?
Edward would not be back in Bella’s life at that point and probably she would be pulled into the whole imprinting thing and just go along with it.
What do you think? It’s impossible I know and would make for a very short book but it got me thinking.

Newmoonmovie.org has a piece about Robert Pattinson auctioning off kisses and meet and greets to raise money for the charity amfAR, at the cinema against aids 09 party. His kisses locked for 20,000 euros a pop!
Excuse me if I find something Vulgar about this!!!! Why not give your time to work for the charity instead. Anyway I’m sure les madam et monsieurs thought it was great fun (especially the ones getting kissed) lol!
Twilightsource.com reports that Jackson Rathbone has landed the lead in a movie about the black metal sub culture in Norway in the 1990’s. Jackson is set to play Varg Vikernes (also known as Count Grishnackh) which now explains his unusual hair style of late.
The story centres around the death of a member of another band.
Alex Meraz is to attend his first ever comic-con in London this July. I’m sure he’ll have a ball with Peter Facinelli and Justin Chon who are also attending.
Summit have changed their website to incorporate New Moon. It’s a little bare at the moment but I’m sure they will grace us with some cool photos and video soon (Pleeeeeeeease!!!)

Speaking of Taylor, celebuzz.com had this report which made me angry and reminded me why I hate paparazzi and tabloid rags. This is the exact entry in brackets.
The events of May 17 were perhaps even steamier. After picking up the Wizards of Waverly Place star at her hotel, Lautner took her to Japanese restaurant Ichiban-Ya. As they munched on sushi and sipped iced tea, an onlooker reports, Lautner told Gomez, "You smell good—I always smell you. I smelled you on my pillow this morning."]
Now apart from the obvious…it’s unsubstantiated, where is the witness?, who is he/she?, where is the photographic evidence? (I mean the kiss!) How do they know what Selena is thinking?
Apart from all that, there’s the teeny tiny matter of the reputation of a sixteen year old girl. A sixteen year old girl whose mother had her at sixteen and went through a lot to raise her. Plus Selena wears a purity ring.
Ok, maybe she doesn’t care, or Taylor, or even the parents, in that case then it’s all good.
But what if they do?.
How far should paparazzi and gossip websites be allowed to go before they have to accept some responsibility?. How far is too far and are they instrumental in ruining someones life?.

Today’s discussion is called Just call me Dad!
Carlisle Cullen for all intents and purposes is a Dad. He has adopted five children, two girls and three boys, although the how and when this happened does not coincide with their ages. Esme , Carlisle’s wife came after her baby died and she tried to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff. She succeeded but somehow survived long enough for Carlisle to change her.
But first came Edward, the youngest son. Dying of influenza in 1918, Carlisle saved him at the request of Edward’s real mother before she herself died. Edward is now seventeen forever.
Next came Rosalie, brutally beaten and left for dead by her own husband to be and his friends, Carlisle took her back to his home and brought her back to life. Originally chosen as a companion for Edward, Rosalie became part of the family as a sister to Edward and nothing more.
When Rosalie found Emmett after he had been mauled by a bear, she carried him one hundred miles to Carlisle who saved him. Emmett is considered the oldest and Rosalie’s husband. And finally came Jasper and Alice who having found each other went in search of the unusual family and fitted right in.
Although Emmett is the oldest son he is in fact a lot younger than Jasper who fought in the American civil war (his last human age being around twenty) and Emmett had a birthday in 1935. 
Alice and Edward graduated high school together along with Bella, the older siblings pretended to go of to college.
Having repeated high school and college many times, the collection of graduation caps on the family wall a testament to this.
Through all of their comings and goings Carlisle remained the father figure, although no more than twenty five or so himself, he passed his age off at around thirty.. He occupied his time in forks at the local hospital where he is a doctor, a job he loves. He is the voice of reason in the family, especially with Rosalie’s resentment of Bella and Emmett’s constant exuberance and the politics of the family secret.
What he is , is a vampire, like the rest of the family, but he is much more than that. He gathered this family together one by one, patiently teaching them not to harm humans and in his own very long life he has never harmed a human being. He is patient, kind, intelligent, well read, interested in all things scientific, medical, human and vampire and most recently werewolf.
To the people of Forks, Washington, he is Dr. Carlisle Cullen…but to his family he’s just plain Dad!

So what’s new today, well…
The 911 Porsche (actually two of them) are ready and the top pic shows the stunt driver wearing Alice’s head scarf for the driving sequences. This car can purr in any language lol!!
You know the way you guys long to take her out on the open road and open her up…well little Alice Cullen, who can see farther and think faster than any human, could do that literally. Brings new meaning to the term blow the cobwebs off. And…she’d have no problem cruisin’ (yep! I said cruisin’ …in the 190’s, the cars top speed range). Automotive engineering genius with some Vamp technology. (source: Twilight Italia)

And here’s Robert at the opening of ’Inglourious Basterds’ at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival at the palais de festival, Cannes ,France, May 20th.
Doesn’t he look just like a James Bond.
“Miss Moneypenny, you wouldn’t happen to know where the keys to the new Aston Martin are, would you?”
“Now Robert, you know that’s 007’s car” .
Robert looks deep into Moneypenny’s eyes. “Come along now Moneypenny, you know James won’t mind, besides he’ll just drive it once and smash it… where’s the fun in that?”
Turns Moneypenny’s palm up and kisses the pulse at her wrist. “Mmmm, sweet” Now traces 006’s on her palm with his finger. A set of keys fall into the pocket of Robert’s dinner Jacket. “Be careful Robert, M’s going to kill me if she finds out”.
“Don’t be silly Moneypenny, your a national treasure”, he says, planting a kiss on her forehead as he leaves.
Smiles to himself as he throws the keys to the valet at the Palais de festival.
“Ah! Moneypenny, Moneypenny, if you only knew…James is not half as dangerous as I am”
The top five most eligible batchelors saw George Clooney win at number 1, chris Pine 2, Jamie Fox 3, Robert Pattinson 4, and last Bradley Cooper at 5.
The Fountain May 21st 2009
The fountain is looking nearly finished now. Bella has to rush across it getting soaked in the process to reach Edward on the far side of the piazza.
I heard rumours that some scenes will change slightly in the movie. One being the meadow scene. Not only will Edward be seen there but Laurent who flees from the wolves, will actually be fighting them, (not in the book). Hmmm!.
I have to say the posters of the wolf pack are great, I love them, but when I heard that there was one with Jacob (ok, so I only lasted one post without mentioning him, but that was good, right?) in it I went looking. The result below is awful. Each time I see Jacob posters now he’s more bulked up and hideous. You’d think some clever clogs would actually find a body that’s similar to Taylor’s if they’re going to shop it.
And he’s smiling, so not right!!! Know what, I actually think I recognise that body, might be Ryan Reynolds, doesn’t seem long enough for the tall Hugh Jackman and they put a wolf pack arm on. Gawd!!!
And just to show the wolf pack are fit, here’s a pic of Alex Meraz doing….I don’t know what, but bending in places no normal human should be able to bend in. The artistically trained Alex also paints, so there’s no end to his talents. The poster to the left is just one I saw and kinda liked.
There is no discussion today, my brain is fried but I will be writing one soon. Besides I thought you could do with some updates instead of my mental mewlings for a while.

Bon jour mes amis et… welcome to Discussions with Annie.
Well Robert Pattinson’s cooking up a storm in Cannes at the film festival and really enjoying himself.
If he had a years work booked before he left for France, I’d say he has two now after landing another lead role. He even ate at the famous Michelangelo, which judging by the menu is an Italian restaurant (or maybe not). The chef came out afterwards and said a la francaise that they (the group) had ravioli and pasta among other things and Dom Perignon champagne. Lucky my french stretched that far. After he bid ‘au revoir’ to the restaurant he headed out with his very charming friends (I say that because he laughed a lot).
He is photographed where ever he goes and is certainly making waves in Cannes. I cannot imagne his life. He will surely need an ivory tower before long and that’s a very lonely paradise indeed. But then I think he likes being alone sometimes. Creative people do need space.
To be honest I don’t get it, I am simply not a Rpatz fan, I don’t hate him, that’s irrational, I don’t even know him, but I don’t get what all the hype is about. Not like —— ——-( I promised I would go at least one post and not mention his name). I admire —– because I like people who fight for things( not that Robert doesn’t) and work hard and of coarse! I love the character. Now! … when I say love, you know I mean as in, I love marshmallows (except that it’s very onesided with marshmallows - they never call) :( and not the underwear kind….However!!!!! I can appreciate other peoples opinions and respect that. The world adores Robert and that’s a fact.
Perhaps I will come out of the movie theatre after watching New Moon and say “ ah! poor Edward”. But don’t hold your breath. I know, I know there’s a green leather couch in some office somewhere with my name on it.
